The Research Advocacy Network is a non-profit organization working to bring together all participants in the medical research process with the focus on education, support and connecting patient advocates with the research community to improve patient care.
Currently, the RAN is seeking patients for a research study who have been diagnosed with melanoma within the last three years and who have been treated with chemotherapy. The objective of the study is to obtain patient feedback on educational materials related to genetic alterations.
The Research Advocacy Network estimates the total time involved will be no more than 35 to 45 minutes and there is a small honorarium they’ll provide for participation.
Much more important, however, is the opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way to patient care, in this case with a focus on educational materials you might have been provided.
If you are interested and meet the criteria, please contact Mary Lou Smith at email@example.com. She asks that you insert “patient input” on the subject line of your e-mail.
The RAN is not asking for much time and again, this is a significant opportunity to contribute to a better understanding of the needs of melanoma victims. Please contact Mary Lou if you can contribute.
